Compare PDF

Compare the text of two versions of a PDF and see what was added, removed or changed. Processed in your browser, with no upload.

The Compare PDF tool compares two versions textually and identifies content differences, all processed in your browser.

You load two PDFs and the tool extracts the text of each page to compare them. Text differences, missing pages and page counts are reported.

Important: the comparison is textual, not visual. Layout, spacing, positioning or image differences are not detected by this tool.

It is useful for reviewing changes between versions of contracts, reports or documents where the text content matters.

When to use it

  • Checking whether a contract's text changed between two versions.
  • Identifying which pages changed in a new report revision.

Limitations

  • The comparison does not detect visual differences such as layout, colors or images.
  • Scanned (image) PDFs have no extractable text and may not produce a useful comparison.

Step by step

  1. Select the first PDF.
  2. Select the second PDF.
  3. Click Compare PDFs and see the result.
