Excel to PDF

Convert XLS and XLSX spreadsheets to PDF, preserving tables and formatting. Converted on an isolated server, for files up to 15 MB.

The Excel to PDF tool converts XLS and XLSX spreadsheets to PDF using LibreOffice on an isolated server, turning tables into readable pages.

The file is processed in an isolated LibreOffice profile that interprets cells, calculated formulas, formatting and charts to generate a PDF that looks like the spreadsheet.

This tool sends data to a server and needs a connection during processing. The worker attempts to remove temporary files after the task. Immediate deletion is not guaranteed if a failure occurs. The result is ideal for reports, statements and data sharing.

Very wide spreadsheets may be split across multiple PDF pages, depending on the print area configured in the original file.

When to use it

  • Generating a PDF of a financial statement to send to a client.
  • Sharing a budget spreadsheet in a format that cannot be edited.

Limitations

  • Wide spreadsheets may break columns across several pages without a defined print area.
  • Formulas show their calculated values; the formula logic does not appear in the PDF.

Step by step

  1. Select the XLS or XLSX file.
  2. Wait for conversion on the isolated server.
  3. Download the generated PDF.
