Extract pages

Pick specific pages from a PDF and build a new file containing only those. Processed in your browser, with no upload.

The Extract pages tool creates a new PDF containing only the pages you choose, keeping the original document intact.

You load the PDF and mark the desired pages in the thumbnails. The tool copies exactly those pages into a new file, in the original order.

Extraction runs in your browser with pdf-lib and does not recompress content: text, images and vectors are preserved at the same quality as the original.

It is ideal for building a condensed version of a report, selecting the relevant sheets of a contract, or separating chapters from a long document.

When to use it

  • Creating a PDF with only pages 2, 5 and 9 of a long document.
  • Building a slim portfolio from selected pages of several files.

Limitations

  • You must select at least one page; empty extraction is blocked.
  • Pages keep their original visual numbering, but the new PDF does not renumber automatically.

Step by step

  1. Select the source PDF.
  2. Mark the thumbnails of the pages you want to extract.
  3. Click Extract pages and download the new file.

Frequently asked questions

Does the order of extracted pages change?

No. Pages are copied in the order they appear in the original document.

Is the original file changed?

No. Extraction generates a new PDF; the original stays as it was.

Can I extract pages from several PDFs at once?

Not in this tool. Extract from one file at a time and, if needed, combine the results with the Merge PDF tool.
