Visual signature

Place a visual image signature onto the PDF. This is not a certified digital signature and carries no legal validity on its own.

The Visual signature tool applies a drawn signature (PNG image) over the PDF. Important: it is not a certified digital signature.

You draw your signature on the canvas and the tool embeds it into the PDF as a PNG image, positioned over the first page. The process happens entirely in your browser.

The signature is visual, meaning it only reproduces the appearance of a handwritten signature. It has no legal value as a digital signature and does not protect the document against changes.

It is useful for simply initialing documents, marking visual approvals, or adding a handwritten signature to a file that will be printed.

When to use it

  • Adding a visual initial to a proposal before printing.
  • Visually marking approval of an internal document.

Limitations

  • It is not a certified digital signature and has no equivalent legal validity.
  • The signature is applied to the first page in a fixed position, without page selection.

Step by step

  1. Select the PDF.
  2. Draw your signature in the indicated area.
  3. Click Apply signature and download the file.
