About

Generates QR Codes that any smartphone can scan, right in the browser. Great for links, contacts and promotions.

What is a QR Code and how to generate yours

A QR Code is a two-dimensional barcode that stores text, links, and other information and can be read by any smartphone camera. The UtilNexo generator creates QR Codes from text or URLs, ready to download.

Unlike a traditional barcode, which only reads numbers in one dimension, a QR Code stores far more data in two dimensions. It has become the standard for digital menus, payments, Wi-Fi, events, and marketing campaigns.

When generating a QR Code, the tool encodes the content and renders the image in high resolution. You can download the PNG file and apply it to cards, posters, packaging, or your website.

The generated QR Code works offline: once printed or saved, it does not depend on UtilNexo to keep working. The phone reader simply interprets the dot pattern.

Examples

  • Text "https://utilnexo.com" → a QR Code that opens the site when scanned.
  • Text "WIFI:T:WPA;S:mynetwork;P:pass123;;" → a QR Code that makes Wi-Fi connection easier.

Limitations

  • The more data, the denser (and harder to read from a distance) the QR Code becomes. For long URLs, use a shortener before generating.
  • The tool generates static QR Codes; for dynamic QR Codes (whose destination can be changed later), a specialized service is required.

How to use the QR Code generator

  1. 1Type the text or URL.
  2. 2Click Generate.
  3. 3Download the generated QR Code.

Frequently asked questions

Does the QR Code expire?

No. A static QR Code has no expiration — it keeps working as long as the pointed-to content exists.

What is the ideal size for printing?

For reliable reading, print at least 2×2 cm. The larger and more contrasted (black on white), the faster it is read.

Can I generate a QR Code for PIX payment?

The generic QR Code accepts text; for PIX, you need a payload in the EMV standard, normally generated by your bank or PSP.
