About
Converts temperatures between Celsius, Fahrenheit and Kelvin quickly and without calculation errors.
How to convert Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin
Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin measure the same thing — temperature — but use different scales. The UtilNexo converter switches between the three scales instantly, without manual calculation errors.
The Celsius scale is used in Brazil and most of the world; Fahrenheit is common in the United States; Kelvin is the scientific scale, starting at absolute zero. Each has its own conversion formulas, and flipping the sign of an operation is a classic mistake.
The formulas are: °F = °C × 9/5 + 32; °C = (°F − 32) × 5/9; and K = °C + 273.15. Doing this by hand is tedious and prone to rounding, so the tool solves it precisely.
The converter is useful for foreign recipes, travel, physics studies, and adjusting equipment that shows temperature in a scale different from yours.
Examples
- 0 °C → 32 °F and 273.15 K (freezing point of water).
- 100 °C → 212 °F and 373.15 K (boiling point of water).
Limitations
- The conversion is mathematical and exact, but it does not account for factors like altitude or pressure, which affect real measurements.
- The result is shown with rounded decimals; for rigorous scientific use, check the required precision.
How to use the temperature converter

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the three scales?
Celsius has 0 at water freezing and 100 at boiling; Fahrenheit uses 32 and 212; Kelvin starts at absolute zero (−273.15 °C).
Why does Kelvin not use the degree symbol?
Kelvin is an absolute SI unit; it is written "300 K", without the degree sign.
Is there negative temperature in Kelvin?
No, in practice. Zero Kelvin is the theoretical lower limit of temperature (absolute zero).
