About
Generates CNPJs with valid verification digits for development and integration testing, with or without punctuation. For testing only, with no link to real companies.
How to generate a valid CNPJ for testing
The CNPJ (Cadastro Nacional da Pessoa Jurídica) is a 14-digit number that identifies companies in Brazil. The UtilNexo generator creates CNPJs that pass the check-digit validation but are fictional — perfect for testing systems without using a real number.
A CNPJ has 12 base digits and two check digits. The last two digits are calculated from the previous ones using a dedicated modulus-11 algorithm. The generator applies this calculation to produce structurally valid numbers.
The generated number includes the branch identifier (the four digits after the slash), usually "0001" for the headquarters. The result can be shown with the full mask (00.000.000/0001-00) or just the 14 digits.
As with CPF, generated CNPJs are not registered and do not correspond to any real company. They are meant for tests, simulations, and development. All processing is local, in the browser.
Examples
- Generate with mask → 12.345.678/0001-95 (standard headquarters format).
- Generate without mask → 12345678000195 (only the 14 digits).
Limitations
- Generated CNPJs are fictional and cannot be used to open a company, issue invoices, or for any official purpose.
- The generator only validates the structure (check digits), not the real existence of the number in the Federal Revenue.
How to use the CNPJ generator
- 1Click Generate with mask or Generate without mask.
- 2Copy the CNPJ for your tests.
