About

Generates secure alphanumeric tokens for authentication and API keys, right in the browser.

How to generate secure tokens

The UtilNexo token generator creates random sequences in formats like hexadecimal and base64, with cryptographically secure randomness. Tokens are used for sessions, password reset, CSRF, and unique identifiers.

A token is a sequence of random characters that serves as proof of identity or temporary authorization. The tool lets you choose the length and format (hexadecimal, base64, or URL-safe), adapting to different systems.

Generation uses a cryptographically secure generator, unlike common random generators. This ensures the token cannot be predicted, even after observing previous tokens.

Nothing is stored or sent: the token is generated locally in the browser and exists only on your screen. You can generate one at a time or several at once.

Examples

  • 32-character hexadecimal token → "a3f8c2... (32 random hex digits)".
  • 24-character base64 token → a random sequence ready for use in APIs.

Limitations

  • The token is shown only once and is not stored; copy it immediately, as there is no way to recover it.
  • Security depends on storing the token properly in your system (for example, hashed in the database).

How to use the token generator

  1. 1Choose the format and length.
  2. 2Click Generate.
  3. 3Copy the token for immediate use.

Frequently asked questions

Is the generated token secure?

Yes. It uses cryptographically secure randomness, suitable for sessions and authentication.

Which format should I choose?

Hexadecimal is the most common and universal. Base64 is more compact. Use URL-safe when the token is sent in URLs.

Should I store the token hashed?

For authentication tokens, yes. Never store tokens in plain text in the database; store only the hash.
