About

Generates barcodes from text and numbers, right in the browser, for labels and reading tests.

How to generate a barcode

The UtilNexo barcode generator creates codes in common standards, such as EAN-13, Code 128, and UPC, from text or a number. It is useful for product labels, identification, and reading tests.

Each barcode standard has a specific purpose. EAN-13 is the most used in retail for products, Code 128 is versatile for logistics, and UPC is common in the United States. You choose the standard and enter the content.

The tool encodes the text or number in the chosen standard and renders the code image. The result can be downloaded for printing on labels, packaging, or documents.

For codes with a check digit (like EAN-13), the tool can automatically calculate and include the final digit, avoiding reading errors. All processing is local, in the browser.

Examples

  • EAN-13 with number "789123456789" → code with the check digit calculated automatically.
  • Code 128 with text "ORDER-1234" → alphanumeric code ready for a logistics label.

Limitations

  • EAN-13 and UPC have fixed length (13 and 12 digits); other content requires a different standard, such as Code 128.
  • The generated code is a visual representation; to be read, it needs good print quality and adequate contrast.

How to use the barcode generator

  1. 1Choose the standard (EAN-13, Code 128, UPC, etc.).
  2. 2Type the text or number.
  3. 3Generate and download the barcode.
