Test Credit Card Generator

Generate card numbers that pass the Luhn algorithm, with no real-world use.

For software testing only

These numbers pass the Luhn algorithm, but they are not real cards: they have no balance, belong to no one, and will not work for real payments.

How to use

  1. 1Click Generate.
  2. 2See the test card number.
  3. 3Copy it.

About

Generates fictional credit card numbers in a valid format (Luhn) for checkout testing. Never use for real purchases.

How to generate card numbers for testing

The UtilNexo card generator creates fictional credit card numbers that pass Luhn validation. They serve exclusively for testing payment systems, gateways, and forms — never for real purchases.

The generated numbers follow the Luhn algorithm, the same one used by real brands to validate card structure. Each run produces a fictional 16-digit Visa or Mastercard with a valid check digit.

It is important to be clear: these cards have no balance, belong to no one, and do not work in any real transaction. They are accepted only by test environments and payment gateway sandboxes.

The tool can also generate complementary fictional data, such as expiry date and CVV, to fill checkout forms in development environments. Everything happens locally in the browser.

Examples

  • Generate Visa → a 16-digit number starting with 4, valid under the Luhn algorithm.
  • Generate Mastercard → a 16-digit number starting with 51–55, also valid under Luhn.

Limitations

  • The cards are fictional and cannot be used for purchases, subscriptions, or any real transaction — that would be fraud.
  • Not every test gateway accepts randomly generated numbers; some require specific test numbers provided by the platform itself.

How to use the card generator

  1. 1Choose the desired brand.
  2. 2Click Generate.
  3. 3Copy the number (and complementary data, if needed) to the test environment.

Frequently asked questions

Do these cards work for purchasing?

No. They are fictional and have no balance or real issuer, serving only for sandbox testing.

What is the Luhn algorithm?

It is an algorithm that validates the structure of card numbers, detecting typing errors. It does not prove the card exists or has funds.

Can I test on real payment gateways?

Only in sandbox/test mode. In production, fictional numbers will be declined.
